We certainly do not need to be reminded that we are in tough times.  Nonetheless, this does not hamper our awareness of those less fortunate, especially homeless animals in need.  They have no voice, are often victims of the very situations that people find themselves in, and are creatures who have so much to offer those who save them. 

Combining a passion for bowling and homeless animals in need, Aleta Sill's Bowling World is humbled and proud to promote their 5th annual Bowl-4-Animal Rescue (B4AR), where 100% of the proceeds benefit the Friends For the Dearborn Animal Shelter (FFDAS) and the Michigan Animal Adoption Network (MAAN). 

B4AR involves three games of bowling, shoe rental, food, amazing auction items, raffles and karaoke!  Cash bar available.

You can win a signed, "Franzen" Red Wings jersey, a shirt signed by 2010 ESPY winner, Walter Ray Williams, Jr., Carolyn-Dorin Ballard's signed TEAM USA shirt, bowling balls, a flat screen TV, leather Nascar and Red Wings jackets and much more!  Katrina Hancock of WDIV-TV will be in attendance to help raise awareness for the need to care for and adopt the many animals awaiting their forever homes. 

Aleta Sill's Bowling World hosts this event out of pure passion for animals in need.  Aleta and Michelle currently have eight adopted animals.  With a wonderful community of friends, we can do so much more together to help animals than can ever be done alone.  And, have a blast together for this most worthy cause!   

So far, Bowl-4-Animal Rescue has raised over $45,000!  In 2009 alone, Bowl-4-Animal Rescue raised over $15,000!  Over one third of that was in the form of pledges/donations! 

You can support Bowl-4-Animal Rescue by sponsoring, participating, donating money or an auction item, or by acquiring pledges from family, friends and co-workers.  Most folks will give a few bucks (or more) to help animals in need.  Again, 100% of the Proceeds will go to help animals and over 1/3 of what we brought in last year was in the form of Pledges! 

This year, with $100+ in pledges, you will receive a $10 ASBW Gift Card.  With $200+, you will receive a FREE tshirt, and with $300+, you will receive a 1/2 Private Lesson (worth $50).  Top Fundraiser will receive a 1/2 hour lesson and a FREE BOWLING BALL, donated by Aleta Sill's Bowling World!

Donations can also be made on line at www.YourBowlingCoach.com.  A Pledge Form can be downloaded at www.YourBowlingCoach.com/Community.  You do not have to actually bowl to acquire pledges!  Both MAAN and FFDAS are 501(c) 3 organizations, so donations are tax deductible.  We will supply receipts when requested!

And, please remember:  "Don't Shop, Adopt!"  There are so many wonderful animals looking for their forever homes.  And, if it is a pure bred that you are after, there are pure bred rescues for most all types that have already been bred!  

Hopefully, one day great events such as Bowl-4-Animal Rescue will no longer be necessary!
